Day 01

Toronto

Arrive at Toronto’s Lester B. Pearson International Airport and transfers (not included) by scheduled-service airporter, limousine or taxi to down-town Toronto and your selected hotel.

Overnight in Toronto.

 

Day 02

Toronto

This morning, depart on a full-day scheduled-service motorcoach sight-seeing tour to Niagara Falls. You will travel through the orchard-laden Niagara Peninsula to Niagara Falls, one of the great wonders of the world. High-lights of today’s tour include a sumptuous buffet while overlooking the Falls, plus a trip on the world-famous “Maid of the Mist” (included), which takes you to the base of the majestic Horseshoe Falls. Also included is a trip along beautiful River Road, which winds its way along the Niagara Gorge. Stops are made at the Floral Clock, and at the historic community of Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Overnight in Toronto.

 

Day 03

VIA Rail

Transfer to Toronto’s Union Station (transfer not included), and board VIA Rail’s “Canadian” for your journey to Jasper. You will travel through the provinces of Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan before entering the province of Alberta and the resort town of Jasper. Continental breakfast, lunch and dinner are included onboard the train today.

 

Day 04

VIA Rail

Today, you will journey through rugged Northern Ontario to Winnipeg and the Great Central Plains. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included onboard the train today.

Overnight onboard VIA Rail.

 

Day 05

Jasper

Today, you will start the final leg of your trip to Jasper by Traveling through Edmonton towards the majestic Rocky Mountains. Breakfast and lunch are once again included onboard the train today. Upon arrival at the Jasper train station, transfer to your selected hotel (transfer included).

Day 06

Jasper

Jasper, fascinating in beauty and history, is set amid some of the most rugged peaks in the Rockies. Today’s three-hour tour includes some out-standing features of the area, including Pyramid and Patricia Lakes, and Maligne Canyon, with its narrow gorge and limestone walls falling 50 metres below. Board your tour boat for a 90 minute cruise of Lake Maligne. Return to Jasper where the remainder of your day is at leisure.

Day 07

Banff

Leaving Jasper this morning, you will travel the scenic Icefields Parkway, which features jagged mountain peaks, forested valleys, glaciers and emerald lakes. At the border of Banff and Jasper National Parks is the world-famous Columbia Icefield. The Columbia Icefield covers an area 230 square kilometres and reaches a depth of up to 300 metres. The Athabasca Glacier is part of the Columbia Icefield, the

greatest mass of ice outside the Arctic Circle. A stop is made for a thrilling ride on a specially-constructed Ice Explorer on to the surface of the Athabasca Glacier (ride included). After a brief stop in Lake Louise you will continue on to beautiful Banff for an early-evening arrival.

Day 08

Banff

Begin your day with a Brewster motorcoach sightseeing tour. High-lights of this three-hour tour include a  visit to the hoodoos, shaped by centuries of wind; Surprise Corner; Tunnel Mountain Drive, which overlooks the splendor of the Bow River Valley; and the Cave and Basin, where Banff’s History began. Included in your tour is a ride on the Banff Gondola which you may take any time during your stay in Banff The remainder of your day is at leisure.

Day 09

Lac Le Jeune

This morning depart  Banff on a Brewster motorcoach and travel westward to Kamloops via Kicking Horse Canyon. The highway’s highest point of elevation will be reached at Kicking Horse Pass (1625 metres). It is from this point, the Continental Divide, that the waters flow west to the Pacific Ocean or east to empty into Hudson’s Bay. After a lunch stop (included) at Coast Hillcrest Resort, located above the city of Revelstoke. After lunch,  you will continue on through Shuswap Lakes area. Keep your eyes open for a glimpse of osprey and eagles nesting in the treetops. By the end of the day you will have crossed through both Yoho and Glacier National Parks.

Overnight in Lac Le Jeune.

 

Day 10

Vancouver

Today you will travel to Vancouver via Duffey Lake Road to Whistler and the scenic Sea to Sky Highway. Begin the day traveling to the gold rush town of Cache Creek. The historic Hat Creek Ranch literally takes you back to the gold rush days , then on to Lillooet known as the land of the Gold Rush Trail. A lunch stop in Lillooet (lunch included). Upon arrival in Vancouver, you will be dropped off at your selected hotel, ending your tour (hotel accommodations this evening not included)
