Day 01 Vancouver
Upon arrival, transfer
independently to your downtown hotel
Overnight: Vancouver
Day 02 Kamloops
Transfer independently to Vancouver’s Pacific Central Station (transfer
not included), and board the Rocky Mountaineer daylight
train for your two-day journey to Banff. Breakfast and lunch will be
served to you at your seat. Once
underway, you will travel through the Pacific Coastal Mountains and the placid Fraser Valley. You will also pass Hell’s Gate, where millions of gallons of water per
minute
rush through the narrowest point in the Fraser Canyon. By the time you reach Kamloops in the interior of British Columbia, you will have crossed into Canada’s semi-arid desert. In Kamloops you will be transferred (included) to your hotel.

Day 03 Banff
Early this morning, transfer
to the Kamloops train station and re-board the Rocky Mountaineer
daylight train. Breakfast
and lunch will once again be served at your seat. Today you will travel through the vast ranch-lands along the South Thompson River to Shuswap Lake,
with its 1.600 kilometres of shoreline. Pass
Craigellachie, where the “last spike” was driven, completing the Canadian
Pacific Railway in 1885, and enter Rogers Pass,
with its tunnels, snow sheds and glistening glaciers. The Kicking Horse River leads you to the Kicking Horse Pass, the Spiral Tunnels and over the Continental Divide
into Banff National Park and the resort town of Banff. Upon arrival transfer to your
selected hotel.

Day 04 Banff
This morning, ascend Tunnel Mountain Drive to view Bow Falls
and visit the Cave & Basin National Historic Site. Take a stroll along Lake
Minnewanka. Take a ride (included) on the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur
Mountain for a bird’s eye view of the Banff Townsite. The remainder of the day
is free to explore the area.

Day 05 Banff to Lake Louise
This morning, drive along
the Bow Valley
Parkway,
and enjoy a short nature walk at Johnston Canyon. Continue on to the “Jewel of the Rockies”, Lake Louise. After lunch (not included), cross the Continental
Divide and enter Yoho National Park. Visit the scenic Yoho Valley and such sights
as Takakkaw Falls, Emerald Lake, Kicking Horse Pass and the Natural Bridge.
Return to Lake Louise for an overnight stay.

Day 06 Lake Louise to Jasper
Today’s journey takes you north along the famous Icefields Parkway. Your
excursion today takes you through Banff and Jasper National Parks. A stop is
made at the Columbia Icefields to allow time for a ride on the Ice Explorer
onto the Athabasca Glacier. Tile is allowed for lunch (not included) before we
continue on to Jasper. We will stop at Athabasca Falls en route.

Day 07 Jasper
Your introduction to Jasper will encompass some outstanding scenery
including Medicine Lake and Maligne Canyon, with its narrow gorge and limestone
walls reaching 164 feet below, the deepest canyon in Jasper National Park.
Continue on to Maligne Lake and board your tour boat for a 90 minute cruise.
Marvel at the magnificent shoreline, stopping at Spirit Island, you will have
the opportunity to take your own version of the world-famous photograph of the
lake. Return to Jasper and the remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 08 VIA
Rail
Late this morning, transfer to the
Jasper train station (transfer
included) to board VIA Rail’s “Canadian.” This afternoon, you leave the
peaceful mountain town of Jasper.
Your destination is Toronto, the economic centre of Canada. Dinner is included this evening
onboard the train.
Over-night onboard VIA Rail.
Day 09 VIA
Rail
Today, continue traveling across the
Great Central Plains of Canada, through Winnipeg to rugged Northern Ontario. Breakfast,
lunch and dinner are included onboard the train today.
Overnight onboard VIA

Day 10 Toronto
Today, continue traveling across
the Great Central Plains of Canada, through Winnipeg to rugged Northern Ontario. Breakfast,
lunch and dinner are included onboard the train today.
Overnight onboard VIA

Day 11 Toronto
This Morning, arrive in
Toronto, home of the Toronto Blue Jays – World Series Champions two years in a
row.
Transfer (included) to your selected hotel. Breakfast is included onboard the
train.
Overnight in Toronto.
Day 12 Toronto to Niagara
Fall
This morning, depart on a full day sightseeing excursion to Niagara Falls.
A lunch buffet is included while overlooking the falls. “Maid of the Mist”
(included & seasonal) takes you to the base of Horseshoe Falls. Return to
Toronto.
Overnight: Toronto
Day 13 Toronto
Transfer (not included) from your hotel to Pearson International Airport
for your return or onward flight.
