Day 01

Vancouver

Upon arrival at the Vancouver International Airport, transfer independently by scheduled-service airporter, limousine or taxi to downtown Vancouver (transfer not included).

Overnight in Vancouver.

 

Day 02

Kamloops

Your day begins with an early-morning taxi transfer to Vancouver’s Pacific Central Station (taxi transfer included) to board the Rocky Mountaineer day-light train. Breakfast and lunch will be served to you at your seat. Once underway you will travel through the Pacific Coastal Mountains and the placid Fraser Valley. You will also pass Hell’s Gate, where millions of gallons of water per minute rush through the Narrowest point in the Fraser Canyon. By the time you reach Kamloops in the interior of British Columbia, you will have crossed into Canada’s semi-arid desert. In Kamloops, you will be transferred to your hotel (transfer included).

Day 03

Banff

Early this morning, transfer (included) to the Kamloops train station and re-board the Rocky Mountaineer daylight train. Breakfast and lunch will once again be served to you at your seat. Today you will travel through the vast ranchlands along the South Thompson River to Shuswap Lake, with its 1,600 kms of shoreline. Pass Craigellachie, where the “last spike” was driven, completing the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1885, and enter Rogers Pass, with its tunnels, snow sheds and glistening glaciers. The Kicking Horse River leads you to the Kicking Horse Pass, the Spiral Tunnels, and over the Continental Divide into Banff National Park and the resort town of Banff. Upon arrival at the Banff train station, transfer to your selected hotel (transfer included).

Day 04

Banff

Today, enjoy a full-day Brewster sightseeing excursion to Lake Louise. Begin your tour with a drive to beautiful Johnston Canyon, following a winding path along the base of the Bow Valley. Soon you reach Moraine Lake, with the Valley of the Ten Peaks reflecting off its turquoise waters. Continue on to Lake Louise, “Jewel of the Rockies”, with its backdrop of glistening Victoria Glacier. After a lunch break at Lake Louise (lunch not included), cross the Great Divide and enter Yoho National Park. Visit the scenic Yoho Valley and such sights as Takakkaw Falls (one of the highest in the world), Emerald Lake, Kicking Horse Pass, Spiral Tunnels, and the Natural Rock Bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River. Return to Banff in the early evening.

Day 05

Calgary

Begin your day with a morning Brewster motorcoach sightseeing tour. Highlights of this three-hour tour include a visit to the hoodoos, shaped by centuries of wind; Surprise Corner; Tunnel Mountain Drive, which over-looks the splendor of the Bow River Valley; and the Cave and Basin, where Banff’s history began. Included in your tour is a ride on the Banff Gondola, you may use this any time during your stay in Banff, ride to the summit for a breathtaking view of the snow-capped peaks and valleys of this Canadian wilderness.This afternoon, transfer aboard a Brewster motor coach to the city of Calgary, home of the world-famous Calgary Stampede. Depart Banff and travel past the mountain town of Canmore, through the frontal range of the Rockies, and continue

through the foothills to Calgary.

Day 06

Calgary

Your day is at leisure until your transfer to the Calgary International Air-port for your ongoing or homeward flight (transfer not included). Transfers are available by scheduled-service airporter, taxi or limousine.
